Tonight I'm updating the driver on my video card, a Radeon Mobility HD 5650 when my monitor goes blank again with a "HDMI NO SIGNAL" - I try the usual, replacing cables, fiddling with monitor settings, nothing. If that doesn't work, try the VGA/Dislpay port/DVI port on the card and run that into the monitor, see if one of the ports are faulty. Make sure your monitor has a sound source output function, such as a speaker or audio output interface. After over 20 minutes of fiddling with the cord again it doesn't work, try a VGA - VGA cable, works fine for another two weeks or so, takes a shit again - replace it with the HDMI - HDMI cable, works fine.
