Haven't tested another HDMI-HDMI cable, but I'm pretty sure at this point that it's not the cable, either my laptop (Lenovo ThinkPad Y460) or my monitor. I've tried my roommate's VGA-VGA cable with no luck, also. It's been about an hour now and it still hasn't turned back on. I've been playing and it didn't lost signal. Tonight I'm updating the driver on my video card, a Radeon Mobility HD 5650 when my monitor goes blank again with a "HDMI NO SIGNAL" - I try the usual, replacing cables, fiddling with monitor settings, nothing. If that doesn't work, try the VGA/Dislpay port/DVI port on the card and run that into the monitor, see if one of the ports are faulty. Make sure your monitor has a sound source output function, such as a speaker or audio output interface. After over 20 minutes of fiddling with the cord again it doesn't work, try a VGA - VGA cable, works fine for another two weeks or so, takes a shit again - replace it with the HDMI - HDMI cable, works fine.
